Typical

Day

We work on improving each individual's archery skills throughout the day.

Main activities include:
- archery safety
- how to hold the bow
- arrow insertion
- shooting, shooting and more shooting
- distance shooting
- target shooting
- clout archery (see below)
- field and forest archery
- other random sporting activities including throwing boomerangs

Clout Archery.  Clout archery is derived from medieval warfare where archers would fire arrows onto the advancing army some distance away. A target measuring 15 meters in diameter is marked on the ground, with a triangular marker flag at its centre. The archer's task is to shoot arrows towards this target from varying distances, trying to get as close as possible to the target flag.
