Overview

Camp is half instruction and half games.  Games will be played both morning and afternoon.

Better than street hockey - there are no cars in floor hockey.  This program is ideal for girls and boys ages 7 to 14.  Players of all size, skill level, and athletic ability are welcome.  This program uses plastic sticks and tennis balls.

Camp coaches will likely be experienced, local volunteers both adults and mature teenagers.

Players registering may bring their own plastic hockey stick.  Running shoe are essential, but chin guards, etc., are optional.)

Rain, extreme summer heat, and camper fatigue can all lead to a video being shown at any time in our camps.  Sample videos used include: Sandlot, The Big Green, Kicking and Screaming. Like Mike, A Kid In King Arthur's Court, Rebound, etc.

Things done in this camp include:

   - stick handling
   - passing
   - receiving passes
   - face offs
   - shooting and accuracy
   - defense and offense
   - goal tending

Rarely, except in lunch hour are we on the MAIN PLACE paved areas.  We will have travelled to other sites to learn more about skateboarding.

Special Note Please no ankle socks as blisters develop on the achilles' tendon due to the amount of running that occurs in our camps.

Please use longer length athletic socks (preferably two per foot) help to reduce/prevent this problem.
