Laser Tag Camper's Code Of Conduct

I will not:

A) point laser tag gun at non-campers

C) use offensive language

D) bully, harass, or annoy other campers

E) make physical contact with other campers

and...

F) I will play fair, smart and exhibit total sportsmanship.

Overview

Our Laser Tag gun and headband
(Eclipse pistol from Steradian Technologies)

The laser tag gun uses ultra violet light, NOT laser beams.  The word "laser" is actually a misnomer.  Laser Tag is only the name of the sport. The laser tag equipment actually uses an infrared signal similar to your television remote control, so it is entirely safe for the eyes. The creation of this equipment is based on years of field research.

Players can be tagged any number of times in a adventure/game scenario before being finally tagged out of the adventure/game.

adventure/game scenarios include such activities as cops and robbers, gunfight at OK Corral, survivor, duels, find the sniper, body guards, and assassin(s), etc., to name just a few.  Campers will obviously suggest alternate scenarios that will be playable.

Local venues will be used.  See WHERE section below for venues.

Camp coaches will be experienced, local volunteers both adults and mature teenagers and younger camp experienced assistant coaches.

Rain, extreme summer heat, and camper fatigue can all lead to a video being shown at any time in our camps.  Sample videos used include: Sandlot, The Big Green, Kicking and Screaming. Like Mike, A Kid In King Arthur's Court, Rebound, etc.

Please note: This camp uses Infrared Laser Tag Guns to tag (shoot) at other campers,  If you object to this type of activity for your child, please enroll them in another of our fun for youth camps.

Purpose

1) Fun

2) Recreational

Day starts at MAIN PLACE, followed by trek to morning's selected venue.

Options will include dividing campers into YOUTH and MONSTER divisions.  Youth will play youth.  Monsters will play monsters.  Pinnies will be used to divide divisions into teams as required.  Monsters rest while youth play, and visa versa.

Probably sometime within the camp the Youth will challenge the Monsters to some scenario.

(Picnic) lunch will be had in the field, when feasible.
Clothing/
Special Note

Please no ankle socks as blisters develop on the achilles' tendon due to the amount of running that occurs in our camps.

Please use longer length athletic socks (preferably two per foot) help to reduce/prevent this problem.

Clothing for this camp should be on the older side so if stained by grass or water or ripped or whatever, it will be of little consequence.  Also it is recommended that long pants (not gym Shorts) be worn.  Hey, if the kids want to wear army fatigues or camouflage clothing, go for it.

Snacks and Lunch
and Drinks
Snacks and lunch will sometimes be "in the field", hence please pack them appropriately for carrying to venues.

Drinks should be included for the whole day.  Please no glass containers.

Time between scenarios/games will be available to socialize, drink and snack.
